April 29 through May 5 marks Seawolves Helping Seawolves Week, offering the Stony Brook community an opportunity to show fellow Seawolves how we go far beyond — for each other.
In particular, the University is raising funds for the Emergency Student Support fund, which will go to help students in crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Thanks to the Stony Brook Foundation’s $100,000 challenge, your gift during Seawolves Helping Seawolves week will be matched, doubling the impact for students in need.
Community members are encouraged to post a video using the hashtag #SBUTogether, to encourage students who are struggling against the odds to finish their semester successfully.
Emergency Student Support dollars will help students with:
- Food to replace their on-campus meal services
- Daily living expenses
- Internet services and other technologies to continue their studies online.
