President-Elect Issues Coming Back Safe and Strong Update

President-Elect Maurie McInnis has issued a message to faculty and staff on plans surrounding return to the workplace. The message reads as follows:

Coning Back Safe and Strong

In our continued efforts to keep the campus updated I am writing to share with you the “Returning Remote Workers to Campus” document, which adheres to the latest guidelines from New York State and public health authorities, developed by the COVID Pandemic Operations and Academic Year 2020-2021 Task Forces and Planning Groups. We will follow a phased approach to bringing our faculty, researchers, staff and students safely back to the University’s physical work environment. In order to disseminate this information, the Human Resource Services representatives on the Return to Work Planning Group will be sending the information to Deans and Vice Presidents so they can share them with Department Heads across the West Campus, SOM and HSC. Messages to the Hospital and Long Island State Veterans Home will reflect similar guidance to their employees.
