Pediatric patients at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital got a special visit from not only Santa Claus himself but everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf, and Stony Brook’s own mascot, Wolfie, on December 12 as they stopped by to deliver some holiday cheer.
A caravan of 30 first responder vehicles traveled from the Charles B. Wang Center at Stony Brook University to the Children’s Hospital to drop off dozens of presents collected during the Division of Enterprise Risk Management‘s annual Holiday Toy Drive.
Since 2019, Enterprise Risk Management has teamed up with campus Fire, Police, EMS and Emergency Management staff to collect new and unwrapped gifts for patients spending the holidays in a patient room instead of home with family and friends. Collections of new and unwrapped gifts were made across the SBU campus from faculty, staff, students and other members of the Stony Brook community.
