The Stony Brook School of Nursing’s online master’s program placed in the top 10 in the U.S. News and World Report Best Online Programs Rankings for the sixth year in a row.

The online master’s in nursing ranked eighth, up one place from last year. Programs are judged on key performance indicators, including engagement, faculty credentials and training, and peer assessment.

“This ranking is a testament to not only our faculty expertise, but the clinical opportunities associated with an academic medical center and being part of the No. 1 public university in New York State,” said Patricia Bruckenthal, dean of the School of Nursing.

SBU’s School of Nursing has offered high-quality online programs since 1994. Currently, all graduate programs are offered through distance education with on-site requirements. Learn more about the School of Nursing’s graduate program.

Stony Brook’s online master’s in education, for Higher Education Administration, ranked N0. 104, up 17 places from last year. The SBU online master’s in business, for the Master of Science in Human Resource Management, was down three places from last year at No. 74. Both programs are administered by the School of Professional Development.
