Stony Brook University Unveils Wolfie Wallet
New SBU Debit Plan Offers More Merchants, Greater Flexibility

STONY BROOK, NY, September 25, 2012 — The Stony Brook University Faculty Student Association (FSA) has introduced Wolfie Wallet, a new debit card program that students, faculty and staff can use with their Stony Brook ID card. Wolfie Wallet can be used at more merchants than the now discontinued Campus Cash and Faculty Staff Debit Plans.
The Wolfie Wallet declining balance debit account is linked to the campus ID card allowing students, faculty and staff to make food purchases from off-campus merchants, wash and dry laundry, make purchases from vending machines, mail packages in the residential mailroom, purchase tickets through the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) ticket office and shop on campus at dining and retail locations.
Some of the benefits of the Wolfie Wallet program include the rollover of funds from semester to semester, the ability to use the campus ID card on and off campus, no administrative fees and a discount that many off-campus merchants are giving to help save money.
“The Wolfie Wallet program has made it easier than ever for students, faculty and staff to manage their funds while using their card at a variety of different retail and dining locations,” said Angela Agnello, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Faculty Student Association. “Over the summer, we added six new off-campus merchants and are in the process of adding even more to expand the program.” Some of the new off-campus merchants are Quiznos Subs, Wildberry Frozen Yogurt, Cool Monkey (frozen yogurt and ice cream), Star Wash Lube, CVS Pharmacy and Top Stop Halal Chinese Food.
Students will also save money when they use their Wolfie Wallet funds to wash and dry their laundry at any of the 70 on-campus laundry locations. Wolfie Wallet funds can now be used at all Campus Dining Services locations, Jasmine in the Charles B. Wang Center, the University Bookstore, the Seawolves MarketPlace and at several vending machines on west campus.
To add funds or check your current balance, simply visit any of the cash-to-account machines located on campus or go online to www.stonybrook.edu/wolfiewallet. Funds can also be added in person at the FSA Services Office, located in Suite 250 of the Stony Brook Union.
