Wolfie’s Holiday Toy Drive is hitting the road with holiday cheer on Wednesday, December 10, with a parade that will begin at 9:30 am at the Charles B. Wang Center and end at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.

The Wolfie Toy Drive started with one goal: bring a little light to children and families spending the holidays at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. What began as a simple toy collection has grown into a tradition centered on service, healing and connection that people on campus can see, hear and feel.

The Division of Enterprise Risk Management — collectively with its units of first responders, mobility, safety and emergency experts — have come together to give back to the Stony Brook University community by bringing spirit, hope and caring to those who need it most.

This year the parade will traverse the entire Stony Brook campus for the first time. The expanded route is intentional — it carries the joy of the season to many more on the West and East Campuses.

The parade will stop at the Student Union, which will be serving complimentary cookies from the David’s Cookies truck to make the day a little more sweet. A new stop at the Long Island State Veterans Home provides a small thank you to those who have given so much for all of us.

The heart of the event remains the children and families at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Many will watch from their windows, some will receive a gift from Santa and a few helpers. All will feel the campus behind them and that they are not alone in their health journey.

Donation boxes are available at high traffic locations, and two wish lists make it easier for anyone to participate.

For more information, including donation box locations and links to the wish lists, please visit the ERM website.

We hope to see you there to help spread the joy.
