Wolfie Takes Home the SUNY Mascot Madness Title

Wolfie bball courtStony Brook University’s own Wolfie completed his relentless march to the SUNY Mascot Madness championship, winning the title by defeating Oakie from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in the championship round.

Wolfie took home 57.75 percent of the 13,000-plus votes in the final round, compared to Oakie’s 42.25 percent to claim his first-ever Mascot Madness crown.

Wolfie’s run through the Mascot Madness bracket included victories over Fulton-Montgomery CC’s Reggie the Raider in the first round, Ram-Bo from Farmingdale State in the Sweet 16, Mo the Mustang from SUNY Morrisville in the Elite Eight, and Hugo the Hawk from SUNY New Paltz in the Final Four.

SUNY’s Mascot Madness is the annual competition that brings SUNY mascots together to find out who the fans feel is the best in all of New York. Now in its 10th year, the tournament is broken down into 5 rounds, featuring 32 school mascots.
