Cast Your Semifinal Votes March 26-29
Wolfie is now one step away from the finals of SUNY Mascot Madness.
Stony Brook’s favorite mascot took more than 52 percent of the vote in his quarterfinal showdown against Flick of Finger Lakes Community College, and will face off against Damien the Great Dane of Albany in the semifinal round, which begins Wednesday, March 26.
Fans can go to the SUNY Mascot Madness website to vote during each round. Beginning at noon March 27, social voting will expand via SUNY’s Instagram Story — those votes will be worth double and will be received for 24 hours!
Mascot Madness, which began in 2013, is the annual competition that brings SUNY mascots together in a competition to find out who the fans feel is the best in all of New York.
Wolfie is a two-time champion of the event, which is similar to the annual NCAA March Madness basketball tournament.
The Mascot Madness schedule is as follows:
- Semifinals/Final Four = March 26 (12 pm) – March 28 (2 pm)
- Finals = April 1 (12 pm) – April 3 (2 pm)
Wolfie won the tournament in 2022 and 2023, defeating Oakie the Acorn of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in each final.
