Starting March 23, social voting via SUNY’s Instagram Story will be worth double
Wolfie is going strong in the SUNY Mascot Madness tournament championship with his latest win in round two, defeating Privateer Pete of Maritime College.
Wolfie now advances to a third-round matchup against Flick from Finger Lakes Community College.
Fans can go to the SUNY Mascot Madness website to vote during each round. And starting at 12 pm on Sunday, March 23, social voting will expand via SUNY’s Instagram Story — those votes will be worth double and will be received for 24 hours!
Mascot Madness, which began in 2013, is the annual competition that brings SUNY mascots together in a competition to find out who the fans feel is the best in all of New York.
Wolfie is a two-time champion of the event, which is similar to the annual NCAA March Madness basketball tournament.

The Mascot Madness schedule is as follows:
- Round 3 = March 21 (12 pm) – March 24 (2 pm)
- Semifinals/Final Four = March 26 (12 pm) – March 29 (2 pm)
- Finals = April 1 (12 pm) – April 3 (2 pm)
Wolfie won the tournament in 2022 and 2023, defeating Oakie the Acorn of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in each final.
