University Orchestra Concert at Staller Center November 11

University orchestra in performance 4 29 25The University Orchestra will present a concert on Tuesday, November 11, at Staller Center for the Arts on the Main Stage at 7:30 pm. Conducted by Susan Deaver, the University Orchestra will perform Arturo Márquez, Danzón No. 2; Dmitri Shostakovich, Cello Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major, Op. 107; and Franz Schubert, Symphony No. 9 in C major “The Great.”

Featured soloist Eric Ness

The featured soloist is cellist and Long Island native Eric Ness, winner of the Undergraduate Concerto Competition. In 2025, he completed a bachelor of science degree at Stony Brook, with majors in mathematics and music, and is now working toward a master’s degree in data science at UC San Diego.

Tickets are $15 general, $10 seniors (62+) and $5 students, and they are available online at stallercenter.com or at the Staller Box Office (631) 632-2787.
