The Jazz Loft @ Southampton Concert Series is returning to the Avram Theater at Stony Brook Southampton with its Fall 2025 Season, entertaining audiences and bringing the rich traditions and innovative spirit of jazz to the East End.
Its initial spring and summer season was a roaring success, and the series will continue to showcase some of the best jazz musicians and singers in the genre. Held in collaboration with The Jazz Loft and curated by its founder, musician and Stony Brook Endowed Artist in Residence Thomas Manuel, the series is a celebration of creativity, history and artistry. It will explore various facets of jazz music, with each performance offering a unique experience.

The Fall 2025 season begins at 7 pm Thursday, September 25, with “The Art of the Guitar,” featuring a trio led by renowned jazz guitarist Pasquale Grasso, joined by Keith Balla on drums and Ari Roland on bass. World renowned guitar luthier John Monteleone will be giving a pre-concert talk in the Avram Gallery at 5:45 pm about his guitars, his legacy, and the lineage of Jazz guitar luthiers in New York. Monteleone will also be bringing some very special guitars for viewing.
The series continues on Thursday, October 30, with “The Art & Soul of Rhythm & Blues,” starring vocalist Joy Brown with Jerry Weldon on tenor saxophone, Miki Hayama on piano, Darrell Smith on drums and Dean Johnson on bass.
Fans of “Old Blue Eyes” will enjoy the next concert, “Strictly Sinatra! A Man and His Music,” on Friday, November 7. Vocalist Pete Caldera will be joined by The Jazz Loft’s 17-piece big band, directed by Manuel.
The final concert of the season rings in the holidays with “Nutcracker Suite + Holiday Classics JAZZ Style” on Wednesday, December 17. Vocalist and pianist Champian Fulton and The Jazz Loft Big Band will perform the Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, followed by a variety of holiday classics.
All shows begin at 7 pm at the Avram Theater at Stony Brook Southampton. A series pass to all four concerts is available for $110. Per concert general admission is $36, and just $18 for SBU students. Tickets are available online.
The concert series is part of an ongoing effort to revitalize Stony Brook Southampton as a hub for the arts, community and education. Other events this summer included “Selected Shorts,” a lecture by Joy-Ann Reid and the Second Annual Hamptons Wine & Food Classic.
