SUNY Conference on Mindfulness and Health, March 4 in Buffalo

SUNY LogoRegister now for the first SUNY-funded scholarly conference to foster research and education on mindfulness across the disciplines. Launching Initiatives in Mindfulness and Health will highlight the many statewide SUNY projects on contemplative pedagogy, mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and other research to identify the range of existing work, identify gaps in the research, and begin development of a SUNY-wide research agenda on mindfulness and all forms of well being.

Featured speakers include David Vago, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School; Daniel Barbezat, Amherst College Center for Contemplative Mind in Society; and Joseph Belluck, SUNY Trustee.

The conference will begin at 9 am on Friday, March 4, at the Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo. Register now online; the fee is $20. For more information, please email mindful@buffalo.edu.
