Stronger togetherWe’re excited to continue showcasing new talent at the University. Stony Brook University is indeed growing and thriving. And, as we come out of the most challenging pandemic conditions, we’re thrilled to welcome so many new faces we’d like everyone to get to know through our Meet Your New Colleagues series of articles.

“This is a really exciting time for both our new hires and the University as a whole, and a pivotal time for us to make a real impact in the job market,” said Sharon Chambliss-Alvarez, director, Human Resource Services. “As one of Long Island’s largest and most prestigious employers, we’re thrilled to offer an ever-expanding array of competitive employment opportunities for both prospective and existing employees to explore, in a collegial work environment filled with enriching activities and events all across campus. Employees in all areas have the opportunity to grow with Stony Brook as we work together to meet the University’s mission of providing world-class education, healthcare and research.”

Our first two new employees spotlighted for 2022 both work in the recruitment unit of Human Resources, so they’re new employees bringing other new employees onboard. “These two individuals exemplify the type of high-caliber talent we’re seeking and, happily, finding,” said Jenn Rossler, senior manager, Recruitment & Employment Services. “They’re smart, they’re caring and they share our mission of helping others unleash their full potential.”
