Stony Brook to Graduate More Than 7,100 in Virtual Celebration

Launching 7,100 graduates into a world of unprecedented challenges and opportunities, Stony Brook University will honor the Class of 2020 in a Virtual Degree Conferral Celebration on Friday, May 22, at 12 pm ET.

Candidates and their families are invited to participate in a live stream celebration where Interim President Michael Bernstein and University deans will confer degrees.

Deans will also host Virtual Departmental Convocation Celebrations. 

“You have earned a degree from one of the finest universities in the world — one that is a powerful reflection of the society in which you will continue to live and work,” said Interim President Michael A. Bernstein. “All of us at Stony Brook University take enormous pride in your accomplishment.”

The Class of 2020 joins 200,000 alumni around the globe who hold Stony Brook degrees.

Access to the celebration and program will be made available on May 22 on the Commencement website.
