Stony Brook University is the recipient of 10 2017 Accolades Awards, including a prestigious Gold Award, honoring achievements in the areas of communications, alumni relations, and philanthropy.
The Accolades Awards are granted annually by CASE District II, the leading regional organization of advancement and communications professionals covering the Eastern seaboard, the northeast US and parts of Canada.
Stony Brook’s 10 awards, a record for the school, include a Gold Award in the category of Institutional Home Page and a Silver Award for the rebranded and reimagined Stony Brook Magazine, the highest award granted in this category. This success reflects the strength and appeal of the FAR BEYOND brand, which debuted in 2016 and was infused in each of the projects honored by CASE.
“We are honored by this extraordinary recognition from our peers in higher education, which confirms the growing reach of our compelling story,” said Stony Brook University President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., MD.
“I am delighted by this evidence of our success in extending the University’s impact and visibility, sharing with the world our unique personality and extraordinary accomplishments,” Stanley said.
“Our strong showing at the CASE District II Awards is testimony, not just to the talents and hard work of the MarCom and Advancement teams, but also to the tremendous creative power of teamwork that reaches across all areas of campus,” said Nicholas Scibetta, Vice President for Communications and Marketing and Chief Communications Officer.
