This fall, showing your Seawolf pride comes with even more ways to shop, save and discover something new. Proudly operated by the Auxiliary Services Association (ASA), Shop Red is kicking off the academic year with a new loyalty program, an expanded collection of value-priced apparel and a lineup of limited-edition collaborations featuring some of today’s most popular brands and artists.
Following its recent remodel, Shop Red has a fresh new look, with a dedicated checkout area, Stony Brook University branding throughout the store, new interior and exterior signage, and hundreds of new apparel and merchandise items.
Every Purchase Gives Back
Shop Red plays an important role in supporting students and enhancing campus life. Royalties generated from licensed Stony Brook University and Seawolves apparel and merchandise contribute more than $100,000 annually to student scholarships.
Shop Red also supports programs and initiatives that benefit students, including apparel donations, the Regalia Loaner Program and programs in partnership with the Student Support Team. The store also provides opportunities for student employment, leadership development and entrepreneurship.
“When the Stony Brook community shops at Shop Red, they can show their Seawolf pride while helping make a difference for Stony Brook University students,” explained Dawn Villacci, director of operations and compliance, Auxiliary Services Association.
New Shop Red Rewards Club
The new Shop Red Rewards Club will launch in September and give all Seawolves an opportunity to earn points on eligible purchases and redeem them for rewards on Stony Brook University apparel and merchandise. The free loyalty program is designed to thank customers for supporting Shop Red while giving Seawolf fans an added benefit when they shop. Seawolves can sign up for the Shop Red Rewards Club online at sbushopred.com and begin earning points with eligible purchases.
More Affordable Seawolf Gear
Shop Red now has a “SBU Value Picks” collection, making it easier to find Stony Brook gear at affordable prices. The collection includes hoodies, crewnecks, T-shirts, sweatjackets, hats and other everyday favorites.
“Whether you’re looking for a new hoodie, a T-shirt, or something to wear on Game Day, we want everyone to find Stony Brook gear they’re excited to wear,” said Karla Gibbs, Shop Red retail general manager. “We’re offering more choices at a range of price points so there’s something for everyone.”
Limited-Edition Collaborations
Shop Red is introducing a series of exclusive, limited-edition collections throughout the year. For Welcome Week, a full collection of Tokyodachi apparel and merchandise debuted in-store and online.
Just in time for football season, Shop Red collaborated with artist Justin Patten to bring his distinctive watercolor style to Stony Brook University with an exclusive collection featuring original, hand-painted and digitally rendered designs. This one-of-a-kind collection features a Pro-Weave Hoodie Football design, Seawolves Helmet T-Shirt and SBU Landmark Letter T-Shirt with Wolfie.
Get Game Day Ready with new Nike apparel! Shop the latest Nike Stony Brook gear at Shop Red, and visit our new merchandise stand inside Gate 2 at LaValle Stadium on game days.
For Red Day, the Retro Wolfie collection was launched with an illustrated Wolfie design on a T-shirt, tumbler, stickers and collectible pins. Upcoming collaborations will feature fan-favorite brands and artists, including SBU with Hello Kitty, Snoopy, Julia Gash and Warner Bros.
