REDI Project Announces Facilitator Training Sessions

Stony Brook University’s REDI Project has scheduled the first of a series of three-day Training of Facilitators (TOF) sessions, taking place Thursday, February 23 through Saturday, February 25, 2017.

The REDI Project, an extension of the the Plan for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, provides the opportunity for administrators, faculty and staff to attend a six-hour diversity seminar, geared toward increasing the understanding and celebration of the cultures that contribute to our diverse campus community.

The TOF will enable members of the campus community to learn to co-facilitate future REDI seminars.  Those interested in attending the TOF must have participated in any of the REDI seminars held prior to February 17, 2017 and must have supervisor approval for release time on Thursday and Friday, February 23 and 24.  The Saturday session will not be considered for release time but will be counted as a voluntary contribution to the campus community.

If you have attended a REDI seminar or plan to do so prior to February 17, 2017, please consider registering for the TOF.  Your contribution will help to ensure opportunities for all faculty and staff to experience the REDI Project.

Please note that registration will be capped at 20 participants on a first come, first served basis. You may register or get more information by placing “REDI TOF” in the subject line of an email to be sent to Robbye.kinkade@stonybrook.edu.
