Demetri Papagermanos loves the work he does as a machinist in SBU’s Department of Physics and Astronomy, the same area he loved being a part of as an undergraduate student here. He says the work feels more like fun, plus he values the opportunity “to help make the world a better place” by putting his design and problem-solving skills to work on real-world projects that further scientific research and innovation.
