Making an Impact: Spring 2022 Stony Brook Magazine Is Online

Magazine spring 22The Spring 2022 issue of the Stony Brook University Magazine is online and shining a light on the many ways that the university and its faculty, staff, students and alumni inspire others to set their ambitions high, achieve their goals and reach their full potential. 

Feature article The Sky’s Not the Limit elaborates on a collaborative new effort to fast-track discovery at Stony Brook, including small cross-disciplinary groups called “tiger teams” that help plan ahead to compete for new grant funding.

From Ecuador to South Korea, Unleashing Their Potential shows how experiences at Stony Brook and overseas transformed the lives of five alumni Fulbright fellows.

Back to the Future looks at Stony Brook Medicine’s new outlook for healthcare in an interview with Dr. Harold “Hal” Paz, who joined the university this past fall as its executive vice president for health sciences.

In Guiding Lights, meet five dedicated women at Stony Brook who are having a significant impact on students, fellow educators, local communities and beyond through their teaching, mentoring and research.
