Stony Brook University will host its fourth annual ‘Giving Day’ on Wednesday, April 27. The 24-hour fundraising drive will generate support for students in need, faculty and research, and help advance Stony Brook Medicine’s mission to provide world-class, compassionate care. Every gift of any amount will help to build a better world.
All gifts made on April 27 will be tracked in real-time on Stony Brook’s Giving Day website.
Last year, 3,700 donors from 10 countries and 43 states — including alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and grateful patients and friends — helped Stony Brook surpass its Giving Day goal, donating more than $500,000 to over 90 initiatives across the university. This year, as Stony Brook continues to recover from the financial repercussions of the pandemic, the support generated by this new annual tradition will be even more essential.
