Fresh, local produce can found every Friday at Stony Brook Southampton at Farmer’s Market Fridays, held from 11 am to 1 pm in the Library lobby throughout September and October.
Each week, enjoy delicious produce harvested from Southampton’s very own FoodLab Farm, located right on campus. It’s farm-to-table at its freshest — grown less than a mile from where it’s sold!
Stony Brook Southampton is also hosting a special tabling event for FoodLab on Friday, September 12, from 10 am to 1 pm in the Library lobby, to spread the word about the powerful work happening on the Southampton campus.
FoodLab is more than a farm, it’s an incubator for regional food systems, driving innovation through education, hands-on learning and community partnerships. With a mission to position Stony Brook University as a global leader in food-related issues, FoodLab is working to:
- Advance regenerative agricultural practices
- Promote workforce training and experiential learning
- Support ecological stewardship
- Empower communities toward a sustainable, equitable and resilient food future
