The Charles B. Wang Center’s programs celebrate the richness and diversity of Asian art and culture, with a unique lineup of events that showcase artistic expressions from across Asia.

The fall season kicks off with a contemporary ink painting show featuring the works of artist Park Dae Sung, who combines ancient techniques with modern interpretations. The opening reception will be October 18 at 5 pm in the Skylight Gallery, and the exhibition will be on display through December 10. The exhibition also includes a symposium, “Rethinking Contemporary Ink Art Through Park Dae Sung,” on October 18 and a workshop, “The Art of Ink: Line Drawing by Dr. Aram Yoo Sung Lee,” on November 10. A second exhibition, “Organic Serenity: Reflections of Life in Sui Park’s Sculptures,” opens on December 2 and will remain as a long-term installation in the East Hall.
In addition to exhibitions, the fall season includes workshops on the art of bonsai, jewelry-making and holiday ornament-making; films; in-person and online lectures; guided gallery tours and other programs. Don’t miss two magical shadow puppet shows at the Wang Theatre on December 9.
