The Faculty Student Association (FSA) of Stony Brook University is stepping into a bold new era with an exciting rebrand to now be recognized as the Auxiliary Services Association (ASA). This dynamic transformation more precisely reflects the extensive range of services the organization offers. ASA will continue to provide exceptional services to support the Stony Brook University community, including Stony Brook University Hospital, the main campus, the Long Island State Veterans Home, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, and the Stony Brook Southampton campus.
The rebranding initiative is more than just a name change. It aims to bring an awareness and understanding of the support and services that the association provides to the communities served.
“The aim of this name change is to accurately convey who we are, what services we provide, and the dedication we have to delivering services that far exceed expectations. The team is excited to turn the page on this new chapter of our Association,” stated Diana Kubik, executive director, Auxiliary Services Association of Stony Brook University.
The core services the Association provides include but are not limited to patient meals, campus dining, student services (meal plans, student health insurance, locker rentals, and textbooks and course materials), retail apparel/merchandise, and printing and shipping services. These services are an integral part of the daily operations that support academic and healthcare needs.
Highlights of the Rebranding Initiative:
- Inclusive Identity: The name change from FSA to ASA reflects the broad spectrum of services provided.
- Enhanced Communication: The rebranding aims to bring an awareness and improved understanding of the support and resources available through ASA, ensuring that the entire SBU community knows where to find assistance and services.
- Commitment to Excellence: ASA’s commitment to service excellence guarantees that the community it serves receives exceptional support and that ASA is a vital contributor to the community’s success and well-being.
ASA will begin a gradual rollout of its new brand identity across all platforms, including a revamped website, updated signage and refreshed marketing materials.
