Concorso d’Eleganza Returning to Stony Brook for Its 16th Year

Italian car showThe Stony Brook University Center for Italian Studies will present the 16th annual Robert D. Cess Concorso d’Eleganza Annual Celebration of Italian Vehicle Excellence and Beauty on Sunday, September 18.

The show is free and open to the public, and features examples of “art forms on wheels” as a means of illustrating one form of Italian culture. Various Italian vehicle groups will be represented at the show, which will take place from 10 am to 1 pm on the lawn adjacent to the Physics Building, across Toll Drive from the Island Federal Arena. The show was canceled in 2020 due to COVID but returned last year with almost 100 cars and motorcycles on display.
