On Saturday, September 22, Stony Brook is again inviting the local community, friends, families and neighbors to experience CommUniversity Day. This afternoon of fun exploration, good food, hands-on activities, entertainment and academic activities highlights the very best the University has to offer. And we want you to join us by showing off what makes your department or area awesome!
The CommUniversity team is looking for employees, faculty, staff and students to share their best academic, cultural, research, health, sports and entertainment offerings through fun, interactive activities or short hot-topic lectures. Everyone across the University — in any discipline — is welcome to participate.
Have a cool experiment you can use to illustrate how your research works? Or maybe you have you a recent project or favorite campus tradition you’d like to showcase? Activities run the gamut from cultural displays to Tai Chi demonstrations, dental screenings to robotics.
Now is your opportunity to highlight the best of your department or area with the campus and local community. If you are interested in offering an activity, complete the Call for Participants form on the CommUniversity website by May 31, 2018. Or if you have questions, email Joan Dickinson, Director of Community Relations and Director of CommUniversity Day, at Joan.Dickinson@stonybrook.edu.
We look forward to seeing you at CommUniversity Day!
