Back To Red: Seawolves Show Off Their Spirit Style

On the first Friday of the 2016 Fall semester, students all over campus showed their Seawolves spirit in fashionable red ensembles. Check out their style and don’t forget to get your red on every Friday on campus!

Nursing student Carry Murphy ’19 wore a summery red dress and says she’s “looking forward to homecoming, as long as it isn’t cold like last year — and as long as we win!”

Anthropology student Laurin Donnelly ’20, rocked bright red pants and said that classic looks inspire her style. She doesn’t usually wear bright colors, but she made an exception to show some spirit on Friday.

Engineering student Kelly Pabon ’18 commented on her style saying, “I just really like to have fun with everything,” and that she’s very excited for the new semester.

Besarta Lekperaj ’19 said that she’s excited for a research course in neuroscience that she’ll be taking this semester, and that her style is more comfort focused than fashion forward.

Biochemistry student Derrick Wegner ’18 said he’s excited “for all the beautiful things to come” this semester and commented on his outfit, proudly saying, “I gotta wear red for Friday.”

Devlin Donnelly ’20 is majoring in engineering science materials, and commented on his style saying, “I like to look good, and it’s not that hard because I’m a guy. But when I see myself and what I’m wearing I like to be like, ‘I look great'”, and said that he’s excited to make new friends this semester.

Jennifer Rapp ’20 and Aditya Rao ’20 said they just met in chemistry, and that their color coordinated fashion effort was purely coincidental, however both are excited to join clubs and participate in events on campus, including intramural soccer and the marine science club.

What will you wear this Friday, Seawolves? Remember — at SBU, red is always the new black.
