Interim President Michael Bernstein will deliver the annual State of the University Address and welcome our new faculty members on Wednesday, October 16, at 1 pm on Staller Center’s Main Stage. A reception will immediately follow at Staller Plaza.
By tradition, each year the president addresses the assembled University community, summarizing the events and accomplishments of the previous year while looking forward to future milestones.
This year the Interim President is expected to highlight key strategic commitments; milestones in research, scholarship and economic development; faculty honors; important university initiatives; as well as budgetary successes, challenges and plans.
He will also reflect on the university’s historical roots, highlighting the centrality of public higher education to American history.
