“Hearing about their lives and telling them about mine gave me great joy. Playing bingo with them at the end was very fun, and I would love to return anytime to see my friends Marisa and Lilian,” said Alexandra Brutus, a junior studying Business Management and French.

“Volunteering provides not only a refreshing experience away from regular coursework, but also invaluable time to network with like-minded individuals,” said Miguel Ochoa, a graduate student in Physics.

Little Sisters of the Poor is an international congregation of Roman Catholic women who serve the elderly poor. The SBU Catholic Campus Ministry located at the Interfaith Center provides religious services and opportunities to students on campus.
