Mariel Hemingway — the Oscar-nominated actress, healthy lifestyle and mental health advocate and granddaughter of literary luminary, Ernest Hemingway — is this year’s keynote speaker for Stony Brook Medicine’s second annual Women’s Health Day on Saturday, October 18, from 8:30 am to 2 pm at the Melville Marriott Long Island.

The morning kicks off with 16 Stony Brook Medicine experts who will share the latest information, research and thinking about topics that concern women most. After each session, Stony Brook experts will also be available to answer questions and connect you with helpful resources. Then at noon, the buffet luncheon begins and all eyes and ears will be on Mariel Hemingway, who will speak about her family’s mental health struggles, which were the subject of the 2013 documentary, Running From Crazy. There will also be door prizes at the conclusion of the event.

The registration fee of $25 includes your choice of three health seminars, continental breakfast and a buffet luncheon with Mariel Hemingway. Please visit the website to view all 12 sessions and select which three you would like to attend.
