Stony Brook University Hospital has been named one of “America’s 100 Best Hospitals” for 2019 by Healthgrades, the first organization in the country to rate hospital quality based on actual clinical outcomes.

Healthgrades reviews three years of Medicare inpatient data, comparing actual to predicted performance for specific patient outcomes. This year’s awards are based on data collected from 2015 to 2017.
