FiorellaDavidDavid Fiorella has been named Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery and Radiology at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Appointed by Raphael Davis, Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery, Fiorella specializes in Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiology and joins the Cerebrovascular Center at SBUMC.

“Our cerebrovascular medical team is delighted to add an interventional neuroradiologist of Dr. Fiorella’s caliber to our team of specialists, which further enhances the specialized care of our patients,” said Dr. Woo.

“The Cereobrovascular Center, our Neurosurgery practice, as well as our entire institution are greatly benefitting from Dr. Fiorella’s use of new technologies for the treatment of cerebrovascular disease,” added Dr. Davis.

Fiorella is a pioneer in the use of technology and imaging for the treatment of complex cerebrovascular lesions and has developed new technologies to treat cerebrovascular disease.
