Recognizing and Addressing the Early Symptoms of Dementia

Join Daphne Perry, MPH, PHR, SHRM-CP, from the Stony Brook Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease, as she speaks about recognizing and addressing the early symptoms of dementia. Her lecture will focus on the difference between memory loss that has to do with aging and dementia, and the resources that can provide help for early diagnosis and intervention.

The Stony Brook Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease is one of 10 centers in New York State, and the only one serving Nassau and Suffolk Counties. It is supported in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Health, and its mission is to enhance the quality of life for people living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or dementia disorders.
