Patient Gives Thanks with Gifts

PedPatientGiftsKaitlyn Suarez (front left) donated a Plasma TV, Wii system, Blue Ray DVD system, DVDs, and Wii games to the Stony Brook University Medical Center Pediatrics Unit. Suarez spent time in the SBUMC Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit battling cancer. Her Shoram/Wading River High School lacrosse coach Bob Vlahakis (right) and teammates held a benefit in her name at a school lacrosse game that raised money for Suarez. She decided to use the money to give back to SBUMC and purchased gifts for pediatric inpatients. Also pictured with Suarez are Corinne Wiederkehr and Codi Mullen.
