Epilepsy Awareness Day December 16

Epilepsy and seizures affect more than three million Americans, with about 200,000 new cases diagnosed each year. However, if properly diagnosed and treated, most people with epilepsy can expect to get their seizures under control. Patients who have persistent, recurrent seizures or those with an unconfirmed seizure diagnosis may benefit from the advanced services of a comprehensive epilepsy center.

To help bring awareness about epilepsy and treatment, Stony Brook University Medical Center will host its Second Annual Epilepsy Awareness Day on Friday, December 16, in the Main Lobby from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

An epileptologists will be on hand to answer questions and recommend resources. Please come by this free event.  For more information call (631) 444-4000.
