This free conference for family and professional caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia will be held at the Huntington Hilton in Melville on Friday, November 17, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The keynote speaker is Robin McIntyre, a volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association, who, along with her family, are the subject of a new book, The Inheritance, which tells the story of her family on the front lines of their battle against younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Alan Steinberg, MD, and Michael Starr, LMSW, from the Stony Brook Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease will be providing a breakout session for professional caregivers and provide CEU credits to licensed social workers.
