A major grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that will fund the University’s new Long Island Bioscience Hub (LIBH) was hailed in a recent Newsday article.
The three-year, $3 million grant is part of the NIH’s Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hub (REACH) program and one of only three awarded nationwide. It is a collaboration between Stony Brook University, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and Brookhaven National Laboratory and is designed to help accelerate the translation of research into new drugs, devices, and diagnostics to improve patient care and enhance health.
The April 3 article highlighted the Center’s potential to usher basic biomedical discoveries into commercial products.
