Stony Brook University will host a Winter Wonderland Weekend for students to enjoy over the weekend.
The first event, Ice Rink and Crafts, will be held on Friday, February 25, hosted by Student Engagement & Activities along with the Undergraduate Student Government. Students will be able to enjoy different DIY crafts along with the opportunity to ice skate in the SAC Plaza. There will also be various desserts such as hot chocolate and treats for students to enjoy.
This event will be followed by Paint Night on Saturday, February 26, in the Union Ballroom. Students will have a chance to get creative with painting in this relaxing paint night hosted by Student Engagement & Activities. There will be free food along with many raffles for a chance to win prizes.
Students can participate in these activities by responding to the RSVP link on SB Engaged. On the day of the event, participating students are required to show their event pass found in the CORQ app to ensure a contactless check-in system.
These and many other events are aimed to give students the opportunity to engage in various activities throughout the weekend. With more students living back on campus again, the university hopes to return to a sense of normalcy by allowing students to enjoy in-person activities with safety measures in place.
