Wolfie St Baldricks DaltonOn Tuesday, March 13, the Undergraduate Colleges, as part of its annual Battle of the Undergraduate Colleges, co-sponsored a “Battle Against Cancer” event with the Career Center, the Pre-Med Society, and Sigma Beta Rho Fraternity. Students, faculty and staff from across campus donated their ponytails to Locks of Love or Beautiful Lengths to create wigs for people undergoing cancer treatment. Participants were also able to fundraise to shave their heads to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, an organization dedicated to research for childhood cancers. By the end of the event, 44 ponytails were collected, 33 people shaved their heads, and $8,136.00 was raised.
