This Year’s Meeting of the Minds Symposium Focuses on Epilepsy

The seventh annual Meeting of the Minds Symposium will be held at the Charles B. Wang Center Theater on Friday, October 14, from 8 am to 1 pm, on the topic of epilepsy. Keynote speaker Jeffrey Noebels, MD, PhD, from Baylor College of Medicine, will discuss the role of genetics and alterations in brain circuitry on epilepsy.

Five speakers from Stony Brook University will present their research on the basic biology and translational potential of cannabinoids and neurosurgical techniques in the treatment of epilepsy, and the role of neurogenesis in the development of epilepsy.
The symposium is free and open to physicians and other healthcare professionals, researchers, students and anyone with an interest in epilepsy. Registration is required: neuro.stonybrookmedicine.edu/motm
Breakfast will be provided. There will be a discussion and audience Q&A after the presentations, followed by a poster session.
