Governor Cuomo has launched Tax-Free NY, a cutting-edge economic development initiative to designate SUNY campuses as tax-free communities.
Tax-Free NY will entice companies to invest in New York State by offering new businesses the opportunity to operate completely tax-free — including no income tax for employees and no sales, property or business tax — for a decade, while also partnering with world-class public and private higher education institutions like Stony Brook University.
Faculty and staff are invited to attend an informative meeting with Labor Commissioner Peter Rivera, who will provide an overview of Tax-Free NY, at 10:30 am on Friday, May 31, in the Wang Center Chapel.
Seating is limited. Please RSVP to Monica Mahaffey at monica.mahaffey@stonybrook.edu or 632-3225 by close of business today.
