The Stony Brook University School of Journalism has been named among the country’s 50 best journalism schools by College Media Matters, a web-based resource for news and commentary about college media. The site is sponsored by Associated Collegiate Press.
The listing, compiled by Dan Reimold, Ph.D., a college journalism scholar, lays particular emphasis on academic programs that take digital journalism seriously.
Calling Stony Brook a “program on the rise,” Reimold wrote that his selections are biased toward “programs exciting in the digital journalism realm and in some way aligned with quality campus media and professional publishing opportunities.”
