RAs from across the region give themselves a shout-out.

Bringing together Resident Assistants from schools around New York and Connecticut, Stony Brook University hosted the 18th Annual Resident Assistants Conference on October 24th, 2015. The conference creates an opportunity for RAs to network and share knowledge in an environment of teaching, learning and camaraderie.

This year’s theme – “Back to the RA Conference”— referenced the well-known movie Back to the Future II, giving conference co-chairs Jim Carr and Amanda Purcell an excuse to dress up as Doc Brown and Marty McFly.

Keynote speakers Charles Lamb, former Director of Residence Life, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Amy Milligan, Assistant Dean of Administration for the College of Business, spoke about the importance of RAs to higher education.
