Faculty Student Association hosted its second annual Thanksgiving Day meal on November 22, 2018 from 11 am to 2 pm. All were invited to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal with the trimmings in the Student Activities Center Food Court. The dining area was set up as a restaurant, featuring a traditional meal, and providing students with a culinary experience like home.

CulinArt, Stony Brook’s food service provider, prepared a special menu that included mashed sweet potatoes, country stuffing, yams, sautéed green beans, quinoa stuffed acorn squash, seasonal vegetables, dinner rolls, and of course, hand-carved roasted turkey. Apple cider was served and desserts included the traditional apple and pumpkin pies. The menu also included Bibb lettuce from the recent Freight Farm harvest.

“The culinary team at the Student Activities Center was so happy to celebrate our second annual Thanksgiving Feast. It was a pleasure to share an amazing meal that was cooked with love for guests that couldn’t make it home and others that normally do not celebrate this holiday,” stated Suanne Agugliaro, CulinArt Food Service Director.

The event had a turnout of more than 200 guests, which included several volunteers that attended to help serve the students, including representatives from the Undergraduate Student Government.
