Stony Brook University’s Roth Regatta won the National Association for Campus Activities’ (NACA) Your Best Campus Tradition contest for school’s over 5,000.

As winners, up to three representatives from Stony Brook will receive a complimentary registration to the 2018 NACA® National Convention and will present an educational session about the winning Roth Regatta tradition. An article about the Regatta will appear in a future issue of Campus Activities Programming® magazine and Stony Brook will receive a $1,000 award to use toward this year’s Regatta.

The annual boat race across Roth Quad Pond in boats made of duct tape, cardboard and paint, will be held this year on April 28.

“Congratulations to the legions of student leaders, advisers and staff that have supported this event for over 25 years,” said Interim Associate Dean of Students Jeffrey Barnett. “Mark your calendars for Friday, April 28, for Roth Regatta 2017. See you there.”
