Renewable Energy Essay Contest

e2syslogoEastern Energy Systems Inc. is sponsoring the Renewable Energy Essay Contest for high school students in Suffolk County, with the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship to Stony Brook University, Molloy College, or Farmingdale State College.

Students are asked to answer the question: Why I want to work in the renewable energy industry?

Prizes include a $1,000 scholarship to the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University, Molloy College, or Farmingdale State College; a spot in the Eastern Energy Systems summer 2010 internship program; the honor of cutting the ribbon at the 100kW wind turbine ribbon cutting ceremony at Half Hollow Nursery scheduled for April 2010; and additional prizes announced at the ribbon cutting event.

All participants must be a junior or senior in a Suffolk County public school district and also complete the Contest Registration Form at www.e2sys.com.

All essays must be submitted before 5:00 pm on Friday, March 5. The winner will be announced on www.e2sys.com by 6:00 pm on Monday, April 5.
