CancerWise Café comes to the Charles B. Wang Center at Stony Brook on Saturday, March 19, from 8:30 am to 3 pm. Learn about the latest advances in the prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment of several types of cancers from the cancer care experts at Stony Brook University Cancer Center (Including: breast, gynecological, leukemia, lymphoma, prostate and gastrointestinal).
Educational displays will provide information on services available at the Cancer Center, including social work, patient advocacy, nutrition, physical therapy, support groups and the Cancer Survivorship Program. Information from community organizations, such as the American Cancer Society, Fighting Chance, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Strength for Life will also be available.
The event is free and includes lunch. Registration is required by March 11 (each person must register individually).
