Led by paleoanthropologists Richard Leakey, from Stony Brook University’s Turkana Basin Institute, and Liu Wu, from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, leading scientists who study Peking Man and other Chinese hominids will meet and present new research that impacts our understanding of both human evolution in general and the central role of the Chinese fossil record.
