Panel to Discuss Blood Donor Equality November 6

On Wednesday, November 6, some of the most influential and well-versed voices in the nation regarding public policy and social justice will meet on campus to discuss FDA policy toward blood donation. The Blood Donor Equality  panel will take place in the Charles B. Wang Center Theater from 7 pm to 9 pm, with a reception following in the lobby.

The panel includes:

• Louis M. Katz, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at America’s Blood Centers
• Debra Kessler, RN, MS, Director of Special Donor Services at New York Blood Center
• David Kilmnick, PhD, MSW, Chief Executive Officer at Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth
• Panel Moderator: Charles L. Robbins, DSW, LCSW, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Dean of the Undergraduate Colleges at Stony Brook University

This event is sponsored by the Division of Campus Residences, the Office of the Dean of Students and the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs.
