The Center for Prevention and Outreach (CPO) will be hosting Stony Brook University’s annual Take a Stand/Walk with Me domestic violence awareness event on Wednesday, October 26.
The event starts on the SAC Plaza at 1 pm with a march led by Wolfie and the Spirit of Stony Brook Drum Line, followed by a brief rally and information fair in the SAC Auditorium. Campus and community resources will be available at the fair, and there will be a display of quilt squares created by survivors and their allies, and a banner signing in which event participants can express messages of support for those impacted by all forms of interpersonal violence.
Our community is stronger when we stand together for what we believe in, and we hope that all members of the campus community will take a stand and walk with on October 26.
