The campus community is invited to the grand opening of Stony Brook University’s Thermomechanical and Imaging Nanoscale Characterization (ThINC) Facility on Thursday, November 13, at the Advanced Energy Research Technology Center located on 1000 Innovation Road in Stony Brook. Lectures, tours and equipment demonstrations will be given from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a ribbon cutting and light refreshments at 11 am.
ThINC, a comprehensive core facility of the Advanced Energy Center, will help establish partnerships between Stony Brook University and industrial laboratories to enable cutting-edge research in nanoscience. The facility will provide regional industry and students with educational resources that will allow them to explore, innovate and go further into the world of nanotechnology.
